Productivity Places Program
Smart City Vocational College are currently offering training in Horticulture to eligible
participants under the Productivity Places Program. This is a distance learning course that is
available to anybody who meets the following criteria and has an interest in the horticulture industry.
Over 15 years of age
Unemployed and not self-employed
Australian citizen or permanent resident
Not a full-time student
Be able to complete a minimum of five hours of volunteer work/work experience per week*
*Volunteer work needs to be arranged by your Employment Service Provider if applicable, or yourself
† If you are registered with an Employment Service Provider and working less than 20 hours per week,
you may still be eligible>

Short Training Courses
Smart City in conjuction with Jobs Queensland offer training courses in Business. To be eligible you must be:
Mature aged (over 45 years of age) OR
In receipt of a parenting payment form Centrelink
Unemployed
Courses run 2-3 days per week, 9.00am - 2.30pm for 10 weeks (not including school holidays). Successful completion of this course will result in a partial Certificate II in Business.
